These terms are written to be read. They cover the account, the key, prepaid credit, what you may do with the data and what we do not promise.

The rules in brief
You sign in with a Google account, and you are responsible for what happens under it
You keep your API key secret and rotate it if it leaks
You use credit only for lawful work and do not resell raw access without agreement
You accept that data is refreshed about once a month and may lag
You accept that metrics are our own and not a promise about rankings
The service and your account
ASEOTools provides link data through a REST API and an online explorer. Some actions are free and need no key. Others use credit.
Credit is prepaid. One credit is $0.0001, each call has a published cost of 1, 2 or 3 credits, and a call is billed once whatever the number of rows. When the balance reaches zero, authenticated calls return HTTP 402 until you top up.
Using the data
Use the data to analyse, plan and report on your own sites and your clients' sites. That is the point.
Do not use the service to attack other systems or to overload it with abusive traffic. Do not try to bypass limits either. We may restrict a key that does. Matters such as payment disputes and taxes are handled through the account page, and we do not set out figures for them here.
Changes and ending use
You may stop at any time. We may suspend a key that breaks these terms.
If you rely on the service for client work, test your own process against its limits first: the monthly refresh, the 1,000-row page size and the 50,000-row pagination cap. Our setup guide shows one way to do that.
What we do not promise
The data is a snapshot of our own index. It can be incomplete, and it is not a statement about any site's rankings, traffic or quality.
Domain Rating is our own metric, round(100 times log(ref_domains+1) divided by log(2 times 10^7)). It is not Ahrefs DR and not Moz DA.
We may change the service, the prices or these terms, and the date at the top shows when. Questions about this page go through the account page, and the privacy page explains how we handle account information.
